In Guided Hypnosis, the experience is often quite different from what people expect — and almost always more comfortable and ordinary-feeling than they imagined.

Because we work in a lighter trance state than traditional hypnotherapy, you remain fully aware and able to speak throughout the session. Many clients describe it as feeling similar to a deeply relaxed, daydream-like state — like the feeling just before falling asleep, except you can think and communicate clearly.

What’s distinctive about Guided Hypnosis is that it’s interactive. You aren’t just listening — you’re communicating, exploring, and often doing a significant amount of the talking yourself. Sessions can move through memories, emotions, and imagery in ways that feel vivid but not overwhelming.

Clients commonly report:

  • A pleasant heaviness or warmth in the body
  • A sense of gentle detachment — thoughts feel observed rather than urgent
  • A different relationship with time — an hour can feel like twenty minutes
  • Surprise at where the session goes, followed by a strong sense that it made perfect sense

The most common reaction after a first session? “That was nothing like I expected — but I understand everything now.”
