From Rock Bottom to Rebuilding: Why I Help Professionals Find Their Clarity

When high performance and inner peace don't match—it's time to rebuild.

Let me share with you more about myself. Being vulnerable online can be scary—it could be used against me and I could find myself regretting sharing so much.

In reality though, I find that being vulnerable and open connects me with exactly the right kind of people.

MARTIN - THE (SOMETIMES RELUCTANT) HUMAN

England is my birthplace, but Bangkok was my home for fifteen years. After living thirty-five floors over the city centre, I returned to find I’m still a bit of an alien in my own land.

I gave up trying to perform the “correct” social norms a long time ago. Now, I simply relish the quirks of British culture—and my inability to conform to them.

I’m a proud dad to two incredible children and a ‘dog-father’ to a god-puppy who ensures I’m out in the elements several days a week. Whilst I may not be in my physical prime, I still chase endorphins on the squash and tennis courts and have set my sights on completing a half-ironman event in 2027.

I’m an ENFJ—”The Protagonist”—which is really just code for saying I come alive in front of an audience. But I don’t take myself too seriously. I handle life’s challenges through laughter, largely because I’ve learned that the universe has a wicked sense of humour.

You won’t find me doing the usual weekend routine. I’m always looking for the unusual—treasure hunts, escape rooms, or spontaneous adventures. I spent years ticking the conventional boxes, and it didn’t work. Now, I prefer to write my own list.

MARTIN - THE SPEAKER & AUTHOR

Despite being a painfully shy child, I have always felt a strange gravitational pull toward the stage. Perhaps it’s because the stage is the one place where you can tell the absolute truth without interruption.

I don’t deal in platitudes. My talks dissect the uncomfortable realities most people avoid: the toxicity of “spiritual bypassing,” the silent epidemic of male domestic abuse, and the profound liberation that comes from losing your reputation. I speak about finding happiness in the darkest of places—not because I read it in a book, but because I lived it in a cell.

I am currently completing my memoir, Innocent: A Prison Awakening. Writing it has been less of a creative project and more of an exorcism—a brutal, cathartic opportunity to explore my own shadow and make sense of the absurdity of the last few years.

My ambition is clear: to take these stories to global stages, including TED, and to prove that vulnerability is not a weakness. I want to inspire people—especially men—to realise that they don’t have to fight their demons in silence. We are all just walking each other home, and sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is simply share the map of the road you’ve travelled.

MARTIN - THE HEALER, THERAPIST & COACH

I didn’t start out as a therapist or coach. I started out as someone whose life had been systematically dismantled.

It took the complete collapse of my world—a divorce, followed by eleven months in a Category B prison—to force the kind of transformation that textbooks simply cannot teach. I had to lose everything external to find what actually mattered.

I’d had an interest in hypnosis since I was nineteen, but back then, it was mostly a hobby. When my marriage disintegrated, I emerged frustrated and wracked with guilt. I realised with crushing clarity that I didn’t have the skills to save my relationship, nor was I physically there to help my children navigate the fallout.

Let’s be honest: many therapists begin this work as a coping mechanism. It is often a distraction—and perhaps a comfort—to focus on a world of hurt people rather than facing one’s own inner turmoil. I was no exception to this. Whilst I am still very much on my own journey, I don’t hide my struggles. I refuse to market myself as the guy who has all the answers, because the learning never stops.

What I do offer you is something rarer: experience, sincerity, and absolute authenticity.

Today, I work with high-performing professionals who are experiencing what I once did: the jarring disconnect between outer success and inner emptiness. You’ve built the impressive life on paper—the career, the relationships, the status—but the internal architecture feels fragile.

I consider myself a renegade therapist. I’ve learned from extreme and often conflicting teachers. I take what works, discard the dogma, and use intuition to break new ground. Whether through coaching or spiritual hypnosis, I don’t follow a rigid script. I facilitate the profound, unpredictable shifts that allow you to rebuild with purpose.

MARTIN - THE SPIRIT

Don’t worry, I haven’t developed a messiah complex. I am simply one of many who had to have their life completely dismantled to understand what it actually means.

I grew up scientifically-minded, an atheist, and deeply sceptical of anything that couldn’t be put on a spreadsheet. For years, I measured success entirely by my bank account and thought meditation was a waste of billable time.

My spiritual education didn’t happen in a Himalayan ashram; it happened in a Category B prison.

In the space of four years, I went from living a “perfect” expat life in Bangkok to losing my marriage, my business, my home, and my liberty. I was imprisoned for a crime I did not commit. And yet, it was there—stripped of every external status symbol I’d spent decades accumulating—that I finally woke up.

I learned that the universe has a wicked sense of humour. It took locking me in a concrete box to finally set me free.

I realised that what I had perceived as a series of catastrophes was actually a curriculum my soul had requested. I discovered the “Cosmic Joke”: that we take our lives so incredibly seriously, yet true liberation comes from letting go of the script we thought we were supposed to follow.

Today, I recognise that the universe gives me two consistent gifts. The first is speed: the lessons I need to learn arrive quickly, often through random comments from strangers or a book that falls into my lap at the precise moment I need it.

The second is connection. Since dropping the mask of the “successful businessman,” I have become a magnet for exactly the right people. I don’t just teach this stuff; I live it. And whilst I am still very much a student of life, I can help you find the humour, the magic, and the profound peace waiting on the other side of your own struggle.

What I Stand For

Radical Authenticity

No masks. No performance. I don't care about the image you’ve carefully constructed for the world; I care about the person hiding behind it. Real transformation only happens when we start telling the truth.

Lived Resilience

I don’t teach from a textbook. My methods were forged in the reality of losing everything and rebuilding from scratch. I will never ask you to go somewhere I haven't been willing to go myself.

Grounded Spirituality

I bridge the gap between the esoteric and the practical. Whether we are exploring past lives or rewiring neural pathways, we keep our feet firmly on the ground. I offer deep spiritual exploration without the dogma.

Integrity Over Comfort

I believe that doing the right thing matters more than doing the easy thing. I support clients who are ready to make the hard choices that align with who they actually are, not who they were told to be.

My Mission

My mission is to help you stop fixing what isn’t broken, and start revealing who you actually are.

I exist to help you navigate the messy, terrifying, and beautiful crossroads of life. Too many of us spend years climbing ladders we didn’t choose, only to realise the view from the top feels empty.

I am here to prove that your current crisis is actually your calling in disguise. Whether through the structure of coaching or the depth of spiritual hypnosis, I help you turn your adversity into your greatest asset—so you can finally live a life that belongs to you.
