Almost everyone can — and in Guided Hypnosis, this is especially true because we work in a lighter, more conversational style of trance rather than the deep somnambulistic state associated with traditional hypnotherapy or stage hypnosis.
Some people have been told by a previous therapist that they ‘can’t be hypnotised.’ These are often my favourite clients to work with. That resistance — conscious or not — usually points directly to where the real work needs to happen. My approach is specifically designed to be accessible to people who are analytical, sceptical, or highly controlled by nature.
Before we go into any deeper work, I always check that every part of you is aligned and ready to proceed — so nothing is ever forced or rushed. The only real requirements are a genuine willingness to engage and a degree of openness to the process.
